Paulo_Malo

Prof. Paulo Malo

Professor & Inventor of All-on-4
Prof. Paulo Malo completed his dental studies at the University of Lisbon’s Faculty of Dental Medicine in 1989. In 1995, he established the Malo Clinic, and later in 2019, he founded MALO DENTAL, which is present in 22 countries and 16 Cities in Portugal.
Prof. Malo is the pioneer of the Malo Protocol, which encompasses a range of innovative surgical techniques and products. These includes, Immediate load single teeth and small bridges, the All-on-4® treatment concept, a novel zygoma implant and protocol, the NobelSpeedy and CC Parallel implant, and the advanced Malo Bridge technical solution (CAD/CAM Bar with individual crowns), among other significant innovations. His contributions have set a new benchmark in fixed oral rehabilitation, earning him worldwide recognition in both the dental and medical communities.
In addition to his clinical work, Prof. Malo holds numerous patents registered in the United States. He is also a visiting professor at several universities and has published and coauthored more than 100 significant international articles and has contributed to several books. Prof. Malo is a regular speaker at international conferences, where he shares his expertise and insights. His medical and dental breakthroughs, coupled with his exceptional management, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills, have earned him several distinctions and awards. His work continues to influence and shape the field of dentistry.

Dr Larry Benge

Faculty Chair & Founder
Forever passionate about the art and business of dentistry, Dr Larry Benge has become one of the nation’s most respected dental surgeons in the proven Gold Standard All–on–4® treatment concept. Dr Larry Benge has over 40 years of experience in dentistry, and his practice has an emphasis on reconstructive, aesthetic and implant dentistry, specifically the All-on-4® treatment concept of full-arch restoration.

 

He graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1980 with first-class honours in Dental Science, having first completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours at Monash University.
Before partnering with Dr Paulo Malo in bringing the All-on-4® treatment philosophy to Australia and founding Next Smile Sydney, Dr Larry Benge was the Principal at Bond Street Dental in Melbourne.
With over 40 years in dentistry, Dr Larry Benge has lectured, published and studied locally and internationally and is well-regarded and respected by his peers. Dr Larry Benge is based in Melbourne and is also the lead surgeon for Next Smile Sydney performing surgeries that may transform patients’ lives.
Tony_Rotondo

Dr Tony Rotondo

Lead Speaker & Founder
Dr Tony Rotondo is the first dental surgeon to bring the All-on-4® treatment to Queensland and has been placing implants since the early 2000s. He has completed more than 1500 All-on-4® cases since becoming a certified All-on-4® dental implant surgeon in Brisbane.
Dr Tony Rotondo is a registered specialist in Prosthodontics with over 30 years of expertise. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Queensland in 1984 and a postgraduate residency in Prosthodontics in 1996 at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He currently practices in Brisbane.
Dr Tony Rotondo has specific interests in dental aesthetics, dental implants, ceramic materials and interdisciplinary dentistry. He has taught undergraduates and postgraduates at the University of Queensland. He has been a visiting lecturer to the postgraduate program in prosthodontics at the University of Sydney and a visiting lecturer to Griffith University, School of Dentistry in Southport. Dr Tony Rotondo is a fellow of the International College of Dentists and the Australasian Osseointegration Society’s founding member and chairman.
In the past, Dr Tony Rotondo has been the president of the Australian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry (QLD Branch), secretary of ANZAP (Australian Academy of Prosthodontists), treasurer and founding member of AOS (Australasian Osseointegration Society, QLD branch), is part of the DSD scientific board, scientific chairman of the AOS(Australian Osseointegration Society), silver member within the Style Italiano group and a member of many other professional associations. Dr Tony Rotondo is a product evaluator for dental companies and presents numerous continuing education programs nationally and internationally.
Robert_Dulieu

Mr Robert Dulieu

Lead Speaker & Founder
Mr Robert Dulieu is the owner of Next Smile Australia Sydney and is a registered Dental Prosthetist, Ceramist, and Dental Technician. Mr Robert Dulieu attended a clinical residency in All-on-4®, implants and restorative care at MALO Clinic in Portugal and was personally mentored by Dr Paulo Malo, and is a keynote speaker on All-on-4® programs.
He believes that all his patients should have natural, well-fitted and high-functioning dental implants. Mr Robert Dulieu has dedicated his life’s work to the perfection of his craft and is well known for producing realistic, natural smiles.
Mr Robert Dulieu is the owner of RWD Dental Image, an established training facility and laboratory, based in Bondi Junction, Sydney. From there, he runs private education courses covering topics such as implant restorative techniques and cosmetic restorative dentistry.
Lauren Fowler

Dr Lauren Fowler

Speaker
Dr Lauren Fowler has worked alongside Dr Larry Benge since 2016, with a focus on All-on-4® treatment and prosthodontic rehabilitation. Dr Fowler graduated from Adelaide University in 2013 and brings her skill and passion for dentistry into every aspect of her work.
She has trained extensively both domestically and internationally in prosthodontics and the All-on-4® procedure, including with Professor Paulo Malo, the inventor of All-on-4®, and at the University of California, Los Angeles. She has restored hundreds of All-on-4® full mouth rehabilitations at Next Smile Melbourne and now leads the Melbourne team alongside Dr Benge. In 2018 she was awarded the youngest Digital Smile Design Master worldwide at New York University and in 2019, Lauren was accepted into the University of Melbourne Surgical Implant Dentistry Master Class program.
She is a Key Opinion Leader and speaker for Nobel Biocare and Philips Sonicare and lectures regularly around Australia.
Outside dentistry, Lauren’s main passion is travelling to new destinations and trying the local cuisine.
Evan Jones

Dr Evan Jones

Speaker
Dr Evan Jones’ passion for helping rebuild his patient’s smiles with dental implants fuelled his excitement for utilising the revolutionary All-on-4® procedure.
Following graduation with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide, he began a career in both metropolitan and rural clinics – quickly developing his oral surgery skills. Dr Evan Jones routinely undertakes implant placement, wisdom tooth removal and difficult dental extractions.
Having then received training and mentoring from Next Smile Australia partners Drs Larry Benge and Tony Rotondo as well as Dr Paulo Malo, Dr Evan Jones has fast become one of Adelaide’s leading All-on-4® surgeons and he loves how immense an improvement he has brought to many patients lives.
He is a member and South Australian president of the Australia Endodontic Society, a member of the ADA as well as the Australian Osseointegration Society.

Jodie Parker

General Manager
Jodie Parker is the General Manager of Malo Education and is passionate about continuous improvement in people and businesses. With over 25 years of experience in customer centric organisations, Jodie has a diverse background with its foundations in education. Jodie holds a Bachelor of Teaching and in 2024 will complete her Masters in Business Administration.

 

Jodie is passionate about seamless and positive experiences for all stakeholders and at Malo Education is committed to providing educational programs that meet the needs of participants and provide opportunity for growth and excellence within the dental industry.

 

Jodie has extensive experience in leadership, governance, communication and implementing large scale change programs. Jodie successfully spearheaded the transformation from “Thrifty” to ‘SIXT’ in Australia within a challenging 8-month timeframe and is known as a holistic leader who is focused on the best outcomes for business and customers. Jodie is also experienced in delivering large scale events and CX transformation programs that drive a customer-first culture and decision-making process in business.

 

As a pivotal member of the Malo Education team, Jodie Parker embodies the spirit of educational excellence, innovation, and inclusivity and is motivated by the ongoing innovation and development of the dental industry. Outside of her professional endeavours, Jodie is an avid advocate for educational equity and community engagement, evident from her involvement and support of The Smith Family and local community organisations.

Peter Kerfoot

Speaker

Peter Kerfoot is a dental prosthetist with 20 years of experience in the dental industry.

Peter qualified as a dental technician from Edinburgh Telford College, Scotland, working in the NHS system before moving to Australia in 2010. Peter has worked closely with Dr Larry Benge since 2011, completing thousands of All-on-4® appliances for Larry’s patients.

Peter qualified as a Dental Prosthetist from RMIT in 2020 and has been an integral part of Larry’s team in providing patients with the best quality of care. Peter’s attention to detail ensures a high aesthetic and function for all All-on-4® appliances.

His cheeky humour and accent are a winner with patients, and patients and staff always appreciate his knowledge and caring nature.

Peter is a proud father of two and is passionate about football and all things Scottish.

Alannah Flegg

Speaker

Alannah graduated as an Oral Health Therapist from the University of Sydney in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in oral health. For the past nine years, Alannah has been working in general practice, focusing on patients of all ages and treatment needs. Alannah now works exclusively in Bondi Junction for Next Smile Australia and Dental Fresh, providing specialist maintenance care to their All-on-4® implant and general dental patients.

In 2023, she was introduced to the AIRFLOW® Prophylaxis Master and Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT®). The care that could be matched with her attention to detail for her implant patients improved significantly, which led Alannah to become an SDA EMS Ambassador. She is passionate about providing education not only to her patients but also to her colleagues in maintaining All-On-4® implants.

Alannah loves to read new dental textbooks in her spare time and learn from others with their research articles. She is a firm believer in upskilling and staying on the front foot of education. She is an approachable clinician who is always open to learning more about dental hygiene techniques and worldwide information from other professionals.

TracyDillon

Tracy Dillon

Operations
Tracy Dillon is the Group Operations Manager for Malo Education and Next Smile Australia and loves working with passionate and forward-thinking people, planning and implementing new business projects.

 

She has spent her entire career in the dental industry gaining valuable knowledge and recognition over the years. Growing up in rural Victoria moved away to commence a 2-year Trainee Dental Nurse Program at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, completing her Certificate of Dental Nursing and then furthering her education completed a Graduate Diploma of Adult Education and Training. At the age of 25 Tracy was promoted to the position as Superintending Dental Nurse overseeing and managing 130 Senior Dental Nurses and the trainee Dental Nurse program/curriculum. After leaving the RDHM in 1993 Tracy commenced work with Dr Larry Benge, in her 26 years working with Larry she facilitated the growth of Bond Street Dental and holding the position of General Manager until June 2019. During the early years Tracy had a family and worked limited hours at BSD whilst the children where young, from home she set up Dental Events PL and began running continuing professional education program for dentists throughout Australia and NZ bringing renowned international speakers to Australia; with the likes of Dr Jeffrey Okeson, Dr Gerard Chiche, Dr Pascal Magne, Dr Tord Berglundh, Dr Bjorn Zachrisson, Dr Sverker Toreskog and Dr Paulo Malo in 2010. This facilitated the beginning of Malo Dental in Australia with Dr Larry Benge and Bond Street Dental. Since leaving Bond St Dental she has been instrumental in the new business and franchise Next Smile Australia and Malo Education.

 

Outside of work Tracy is married to a specialist dentist with 2 children, one an OHT! When she is not connecting on a dental level, she enjoys food and wine and is currently President for the International Food and Wine Society (IWFS)– Vic Branch, a IWFS – Asia Pacific Zone Representative and a member of the Wine and Food Society of Victoria (WFSV).
